Frequently asked questions

We want as many people as possible to be able to attend. Having said that yoga is a physical activity which can cause injury and you take part at your own risk. In particular:

  • Unless the class has been advertised as 'Chair Yoga', there will not be chairs available and you should be comfortable getting up and down from your mat

  • You should not attend if you have been advised against physical activity by a doctor or medical professional

  • If you are under the care of a doctor / medical professional and / or have an injury, medical condition or illness you should discuss this with them before attending

  • Unless the class has been advertised as 'Pregnancy Yoga' you should not assume it is suitable if you are pregnant

  • Unless the class has been advertised as 'Family' or 'Children's' yoga, we cannot currently admit under 16s

Our teachers are not medical professionals and cannot give individual advice on specific injuries or illnesses.

It's up to you. You can book ahead and make a contribution online, or show up on the day.

As the hall space is limited, there is a chance of being turned away if the hall is already full upon your arrival. Priority will be given to those who have pre-booked. You are encouraged to arrive in good time to settle in before the class starts.

Booking, more information, and an introduction to  your teachers can all be found here.

Anything you feel comfortable in and can move and stretch.

Pay what you can

We want to make yoga accessible to as many people as possible, so there is no set price for your class. However, we can only continue to run these sessions if we at least cover the out-of-pocket costs (hall hire, insurance etc). As a guide:

  • £5 minimum payment - this will help towards the cost of running the class, however the classes would not be viable long-term if everyone pays just this

  • £12 - market average in Wokingham for a 1 hour class

Parking at the hall is free.

If you are in genuine hardship, and can't meet the minimum payment, please get in touch. We will try to come to a come to a sympathetic arrangement.

Regrettably, we are not able to accommodate under 16s at this time. The Sunday am classes are designed with adults in mind and not all of our teachers are qualified to teach minors. We may look to add a family or children's class at a later time.

You will need to bring a mat. We also highly recommend water and maybe a warm layer for meditation / relaxation
